1st December 2009 at Sambhali Trust

Khamaghani dear readers,

Today i would like to introduce you to our seventh project called Payal Sewing center, we started this in jodhpur around the airport.
the care taker(administrator) is my cousin, she is a very tough lady and want to help me make difference in the lives of women and girls. we will do this program for hopefully 24 months. please wish us luck, another good news is that we have been loaned 6 sewing machines by the Rajdadiji Veerni project for six months and probably more.we look much forward to their future support to our trust.
The project is now a joint venture of Sambhali trust and Rajdadiji Veerni project.

Ahead after all the good news i would like to share some more good news with you. Here is something i would like to show to you that our volunteer Ms. Becky Moyce sent to us.

Khamaghani Govind and Tamanna!
I hope you are both well and that everything is good at the Sambhali Trust! We just opened an exhibition of the students work from the photography workshops a couple of weeks ago and it was a real success. Lots of people came and commented on how wonderful the photography was and everyone was really interested in the work you do for the girls. There is even talk of linking the workshops to a project over here where local children could write to the participants of the Sambhali project and exchange thoughts about the different cultures and backgrounds to raise awareness.
I have attached the newspaper articles about the project, I hope that you can use these somehow. Please tell the girls that their pictures have been exhibited here and that they have inspired people to do similar work here too, I hope this makes them happy!!
Best wishes to you all and lots of love!
Becky

Some more news on its way later in the day!!
